2018 celebrate's Hertfordshire's Year of Physical Activity. Whether you're looking to meet new people, take up a new hobby, or get fit, take a look at the various events and sporting activities taking place throughout Hertfordshire this year.

Move more, feel great! Hertfordshire’s Year of Physical Activity (#HertsYOPA18) is in full swing so it’s a perfect time to get active - an opportunity to get Hertfordshire moving and help everyone lead healthy lives. It’s organised by the Herts Sports Partnership along with Hertfordshire County Council, the ten district and borough councils and many other organisations. And the good news is, you don’t have to be an Olympic athlete or run a marathon to feel better. Anything that gets you moving more and raises your heart rate has enormous health benefits, whatever your age. Whether it’s joining a free walking group, a class at the local leisure centre, a swim or bike-ride, joining the local football, netball or bowls club, or even gardening - there are plenty of great ways you can get active in Hertfordshire, alone, with friends or with your family.

Each month throughout 2018 has its own theme, to help you with ideas of how to take up more regular exercise.
