Dogs and Daffs Charity Walk and Fun Dog Show at Hatfield House
24th March 2019
Save the date - Dogs and Daffs Day March 24, 2019. It’s back! And it’s going to be bigger and better than before! Come and join us on March 24 at Hatfield House for the fifth Dogs and Daffs Day in aid of Digswell Place Group Riding for Disabled Association. This year the local charity is raising funds for a new arena at the specialist facility. Chairman of the Digswell Place Group RDA, Sue Clarke said: “A new arena is the next step forward for us. This additional facility we enable us to increase the number of therapeutic rides we provide. We currently help over 100 people aged between 2 and 65 with a variety of disabilities from the local area. Riding helps core strength, balance, speech, coordination and socialisation.” Digswell Place Group RDA has teamed up with the Stable Yard at Hatfield House to hold the fifth Dogs and Daffs Day on March 24, 2019. Money raised from previous events has funded specialist saddles, additional therapeutic rides and has also paid for new field shelters and riding hats. During the Dogs and Daffs day walkers will be able to enjoy Hatfield Park exclusively for a small donation to the charity and dog lovers will be able to enter into a fun dog show. Not only that, there will be agility, flyball and trick training displays plus scurry racing for visitors to take part in - again for a small donation to the charity. Sue added: “This is a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy a fabulous family day out with their canine companions and help raise money for a local charity which works with local people. “We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received over the last few years from visitors and event sponsors and look forward to another successful day in 2019 " *
