Hertford

If you’re pitching up at Camping and Caravanning Club's Hertford site, the elegant Pendley Manor is open for fine evening dining or afternoon teas, and we'd be remiss if we didn’t mention that the grand houses of Herts, breath-taking Knebworth House and Hollywood famous Hatfield House, are under 20 minutes away. But if you just can’t tear yourself away from being deep in nature right now, Panshanger Park is close by with its sprawling greenery, featuring a picturesque lake and many walking routes.

Theobalds Estate

The Theobalds site’s next-door neighbour is Birch Community, a brand-new hotel set in a majestic Georgian manor with stunning Italian gardens. Looking for an afternoon of elegance and refinement? Afternoon tea at the relaxing Sopwell House is our go-to. Looking for something more high energy? Lee Valley has got you covered for all action-packed sports from mountain biking to tennis and hockey. For young families, the zoo is always a good idea - Paradise Wildlife Park lets the kids wave to every animal from the big cats to the creepy crawlies, or travel to prehistoric times at Dinosaur World.

Finally, enjoy the community of Hertfordshire by falling in love with our local businesses. No matter which campsite you’re going to, you’ll be close by towns and villages with independent shops, restaurants and cafes to tempt you, and you’ll be supporting a community while you do it.
