Nature & Wildlife

A hidden gem in the Hertfordshire countryside, with its thatched roundhouses set within 13 acres of a beautiful native woodland. Celtic Harmony Camp is the perfect place to escape into nature with the whole family.

Their award-winning education team host school groups during term times, and during the holidays welcome local families to enjoy outdoor experiences in their beautiful woodland setting.

Highlights include the Easter Dragon Quest during Easter holidays and Samhain Celebrations in the October half term. Past summer events such as the Family Prehistory Adventure gave lucky visitors the chance to experience the magic of sleeping in their own roundhouse on a 3-day experience packed with activities. Yearly events are subject to change, please check their website for up-to-date information.

Family experiences at Celtic Harmony Camp are always guaranteed to be memorable. As you step through their gate you will be greeted with a view of our Prehistoric past, complete with costumed educators who guide you through your journey from Stone to Iron Age. Activities range from Drumming Workshops to Flint Tool Talks and Woodland Quests, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. With facilities including a cafe, toilets and washrooms and a heated Prehistory Centre, you can be sure there are all the modern comforts you need for a brilliant family day out.

The Woodland Bistro

Open every weekend

Escape to the Woodland Bistro for a coffee or a tasty lunch with a seasonal menu of meat and vegetarian/vegan options from heartier winter dishes to light summer bites to choose from. Sit inside the bistro or on a warm day take in the surrounding woodland under the outdoor Feasting Shelter. Guests are invited to enjoy the magical setting and take a walk around the woods with its thatched roundhouses. Craft workshops begin 1st March, try your hand at flint-knapping, pottery and more!
