Harpenden Public Halls is set on the edge of Harpenden Common, close to the town centre and train station.
Our entertainment programme is extremely varied and regularly hosts live music, tribute acts, comedy, theatre productions, schools concerts, an annual Christmas Panto as well as an excellent film programme hosted by the Harpenden Film Society. We are also recognised as being the hub of the community and host everything from pre-school activities, youth theatre, dance and exercise classes, antiques fairs and NHS blood donor sessions to a wide variety of club and society events. Both of our rooms are available for hire. The smaller Southdown Room is a more intimate space and can hold up to 70 persons seated or 100 standing, whilst the larger Eric Morecambe Hall can hold 410 seated or 525 standing.
It is an ideal venue for all types of events ranging from wedding receptions to fairs and exhibitions to parties and conferences, and the Halls have even been used as a film location. We have a fully licensed bar, and a professional kitchen for hire.
