North Herts PRIDE Day takes place on Thursday 22 August, bringing colour and energy to Hitchin town centre from 10am to 4pm. This year’s event features over 20 stalls, a Community Stage, a joyful Pride Walk, and a friendly after‑party to round off the day.
The town centre will host a vibrant selection of stalls, including LGBTQ+ organisations, wellbeing groups, local makers, charities and community partners. Visitors can browse, chat and pick up information, creating a welcoming space for everyone.
The Community Stage will be centre stage, with a local choir is already confirmed, with additional acts being finalised. The whole day is designed to be relaxed and accessible, offering gentle entertainment for families, allies and visitors.
At four the Pride Walk will bring colour to Hitchin as people come together to celebrate inclusion and equality. It’s a gentle, family‑friendly walk through the town centre, open to everyone.
A free printed programme will be available on the day, which was funded by local businesses.
The celebrations continue into the evening with an after‑party at The George pub, offering a warm, friendly space to unwind and enjoy the final part of PRIDE Day.
North Herts PRIDE invites the whole community to join in the party, celebrate diversity and show visible support for the LGBTQ+ community
