The lights are on, the tinsel is here and we have to say, we’re full of cheer! In addition to making up some questionable rhymes, we’ve gathered together the Hertfordshire Christmas shortlist, packed with all the family fun and festive events you could possibly wish for. It looks like Santa isn’t the only one in the business of list-making this year.

What are you waiting for? Whether you’ve got a hankering to lace up your skates or you want to go in search of Santa’s grotto, it’s time to step into Christmas.

Christmas at the Snow Centre

Still dreaming of a white Christmas? Stop dreaming and start living it at the Snow Centre this year. With real powdery snow (not the grey slushy stuff we normally see), Santa’s Grotto, ringo rides and sledging, you’ll be doing more than walking in this winter wonderland.
I’m dreaming…

Frogmore Paper Mill

In a world of Amazon and Ebay, you’ve got to admit that a hand-made, locally-sourced gift has a real charm to it. 30 stalls of hand-crafted jewellery, decorations and stocking fillers await at Frogmore Paper Mill this December 1st, so tour the stalls and collect gifts to make St Nick himself green with envy.

Willows Activity Farm

Santa Claus is coming to Willows Activity Farm so you’d better watch out! Visit him in his grotto, sing along with the elves and, if you’re really good, receive the golden key to the Toy Shop. With an ice rink and the chance to make your own cuddly teddy bear, this Santa Spectacular is set to shine.
Guess who’s coming to town

Hogwarts in the snow

If you thought the regular Warner Bros. Studio tour was magical, prepare for Hogwarts in the Snow. With snow-covered Christmas trees, flaming Christmas puddings and a Great Hall dressed for the enchanted Yule Ball, we can’t think of anywhere more charming than Hogwarts this season.
An enchanted setting

Stable Yard

Treat yourself to a very merry day with a visit to Hatfield House’s Stable Yard, when 50 stalls arrive on November 2nd as part of a Charity Christmas Market event. Stock up on the stocking fillers and indulge in a selection of delicious Christmas treats, all with the added benefit of supporting a good cause.

Festive Afternoon Tea

With so much family fun to be had across the county this season, why not extend your stay and book an overnight escape at one of Hertfordshire's hotels? Both Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club and St Albans' Noke Hotel also offer a fabulously festive afternoon tea, which can be enjoyed in a wonderfully seasonal setting before cosying up for a night of comfort!

Christmas at Paradise
