Spring seems to be blooming and the days are getting warmer (fingers crossed for no Beast from the East part three), which means the longed-for Easter holidays must nearly be here! 

If you're wondering what to do over the bank holiday weekend or during the school hols - other than gorging your way through mountain of chocolate - we've got a few suggestions of how to have heaps of fun this Easter break. Nothing says spring like new born lambs and an Easter egg hunt! Head to Willows Activity Farm for hunts through the garden and even a schedule of shows to keep your little ones entertained for the day, including the Peter Rabbit, Lily Bobtail & Mr Tod Show.

For the not so traditional Easter experience seekers, Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne is unveiling their brand-new World of Dinosaurs, getting you up close to moving and thundering Triassic creatures! If you’re still looking for rabbits and lambs,the park will also be hosting the more traditional Easter arts & crafts, an Easter Bunny show and lots more.

Knebworth House will once again hold their egg-tra exciting Easter trail this month! Winding through the beautiful gardens and flaunting the spring flowers, the trail will also take a turn through the Edwardian maze to make things a little more challenging! Knebworth House even has a collection of 72 life size dinosaurs scattered around the garden, so you can get your Jurassic fix here too.

On Good Friday, seize the opportunity to go on a local egg hunt around the pretty town of Harpenden and its common. From 1pm until 3pm, take on a trail to find your Easter prize and discover crafts, face painting, a café to take five from the quest and even a raffle draw!

Have you missed your chance to head to the slopes on the continent this season, or didn't get out to do any sledging during the freeze at home? Do not fear, as you can treat yourself to a repeat of the Beast from the East at the Snow Centre. You may not find any Easter egg hunts here, but you can keep the kids busy with a range of half term activities from one day holiday camps to runs down the ringo slide.

The 'Wat’s On' programme runs until Saturday 14th April, with a wide range of fun and challenging indoor and outdoor activities planned to keep young minds busy throughout the holidays.
