Hertfordshire's Christmas Markets

From twinkling trees in living room windows to smells of smoky open fires, tangy tastes of mulled wine and everyone having a jolly ole time- Carollers are singing, church bells are ringing, it’s that time of year for some Christmas cheer.

Twinkling lights glisten above Hertfordshire’s streets, scarves are tightly wrapped around the necks of every flustered last-minute shopper in town and the stress of buying something ideal for the relative who has it all has well and truly kicked in. Well it’s time to throw away those 12-page long Christmas lists, wave goodbye to the novelty socks, be gone with the soap on a rope and, we know how tempting it can be, but please, refrain from picking up a Lynx Africa gift set.

This year is time to make a name for yourself as the ultimate present giver, boss the Christmas shop and most importantly, have fun doing it. Take a deep breath and relax because your trusty Visit Herts team have put together a guide of the best Christmas markets and shopping experiences that Hertfordshire has on offer. So, you can be back relaxing on the sofa, admiring your pile of perfectly wrapped presents in no time…
