Restaurant dining is back on the menu from 17th May, and after months of cooking for ourselves, we’re ready to book a table and pull up a chair.

Whether you’re dreaming of the finest dining, burgers that just cannot be recreated at home, or afternoon tea made for marking those lost occasions, we’ve lined up some of our favourite Hertfordshire restaurants where you can tuck in.

Please be sure to follow government guidelines when visiting, always check the website for the latest opening and booking information and take a look at our top tips to #RespectProtectEnjoy Hertfordshire.

Rump and Wade

Rump and Wade’s Brasserie doors are reopening for indoor dining from 17th May, and with breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner on the table, it’s music to our ears. Book in a catch up with friends, raise a toast for those missed occasions and treat the family to a special Sunday roast you haven’t cooked yourself. Whatever you choose, we can guarantee the food will be sensational and the welcome will be warm.

Pendley Manor

After a year of dining at our makeshift desks, the setting for our meals out is almost as important as the food these days, so allow us to introduce the Oak Restaurant, Pendley Manor’s grand dining room. Award-winning and serving up 2AA Rosette food made from the freshest ingredients, whatever you choose, you’ll be in for a treat, but we really recommend their afternoon tea for a touch of luxury.

The Ivy St Albans

The Ivy is celebrating the return of indoor dining in style with the Summer of Love – a vibrant celebration of food, drink, entertainment and of course, seasonal dishes and 1960s themed cocktails. Get together a small group of friends for brunch, reconnect with loved ones over dinner, or enjoy drinks at this iconic St Albans restaurant for a real foodie experience.

Lussmanns Hertford

Relaxed, sustainable dining is what it’s all about at Hertfordshire favourite, Lussmanns and with their range of delicious meals on the menu, we can’t wait to return this season. With a brand new location in Hertford, and a spring menu of favourites like fish soup, confit of duck and sticky date pudding to enjoy, a visit to Lussmanns has got to be on the cards.

The Florist Watford

Escape to The Florist in Watford this May and capture those Insta-worthy moments with friends. An extensive cocktail menu, build your own brunch boards, sharing plates and a real sensory experience… we are just counting down the days until we can step through the doors of this beauty. While the blooms and blossom are the perfect match for that outfit you’ve been saving all lockdown, the spring menu will tantalise your tastebuds.
