The summer season is right around the corner and so are those fun-filled summer nights out. With monthly costs on the rise, we're giving you the inside scoop on the best, most affordable date locations to help you soak up the sunshine and make some memories with your one true love, all for under £25 - we won't tell them if you don't.

We have a range of the best summer date places whether it’s woodland trails, cinemas, food festivals and more all at a great value!

Home Farm Glamping

Here is one for those nature and animal-loving couples… As the day turns into night join the wildlife experts at Home Farm Wildlife Trust and explore where the bats camp out at night at Home Farm and in the wider Aldenham Estate grounds. For just £10 per adult you will use detectors to hear them echo-locating above the trees and along the hedgerows as well as over the lakes trying to find the insects and moths for their supper.

Woodland Trails at The Grove

It’s no surprise that there are lots of outdoor activities for couples and families to take part in when in Hertfordshire as it is well known for its countryside. So why not grab your picnic blanket and some food on a beautiful summer’s day, and explore The Grove’s very own nature trail which was created by the Wildlife Trust, and enjoy the spectacular beauty of the hotel’s ancient country estate?

Bike Hire at The Grove

For just £10 each you both could hire a bike and explore the 300 acres of grounds and woodland trails at The Grove Hotel for a perfect summer date. If you are feeling a little adventurous then head to the Grand Union Canal to nearby Cassiobury Park and enjoy a nice picnic or stop off at one of the pubs along the way for a nice pub lunch/dinner.

Broadway Cinema at Letchworth

Yes going to the cinema is a cliché date night idea but it does fit in the under £25 budget and is definitely an enjoyable thing to do with someone else who shares the same movie interests as you… So sit back and relax at Letchworth’s Broadway Cinema. Enjoy the old-style cinema with bigger and comfier seats and an ambience making the experience exciting.

Relax on a hot summer’s day with your date in the park sitting on a picnic blanket with your food and drinks enjoying the view of the River Gade. For those sporty couples there are five football pitches in the park with goals, while fishing on the river is free if you have a license. Don’t forget to bring your bikes as there are a few designated cycling paths that you can both enjoy on your summer date out!

The Great British Food Festival at Knebworth House
