The Watford Jazz Junction Festival runs for 8-days in venues across Watford, 10-18 May 2025.
All shows are sold individually with prices ranging from £20-£40 and can be purchased from www.watfordjazzjunction.com only.
Headline artists include soul-singer Vanessa Haynes, Grammy-winning jazz saxophonist Tim Garland, and legendary blues singer & harmonica player Errol Linton.
There’s a very special Jazz Brunch featuring the celebrated singer Elaine Delmar (with tickets including a full hot brunch) and an exceptionally exciting show featuring violinist and singer Alice Zawadzki who’ll be joined by a host of outstanding musicians to perform a newly written show especially for the festival, called Imagined Folklore.
The final day of the festival, on Sunday 18 May, is called Jazz Steps – with entrance entirely for FREE.
This family friendly afternoon of live music (12.30-7pm) presents 30 different acts across 9 stages in the Oxhey area of Watford – all accessible on foot from Bushey Station.
The bands cover a huge mix of styles (jazz, swing, blues, funk and more) and on the main stage 4 national acts being presented with modern-trad jazz from The Ten Bells Rag Band, hard-bop from saxophonist Tony Kofi, fusion-jazz from guitarist Zayn Mohammed, and infectious foot-tapping funk & soul classics from the City Funk Orchestra.
Alongside the main stage on Oxhey Green, there’ll be lots of food & drinks stalls, a special health & wellbeing community zone, and lots of activities for children including inflatables and an art circus.
The Watford Jazz Junction is a not-for-profit community-focussed organisation, presenting the highest quality live jazz in Hertfordshire. This year the festival is supported by the Arts Council England, Watford Council, Watford Community Housing and Watford Community Grants.
