What’s open? What’s going on in Hertfordshire? Where can I take the kids for a day out? That’s what you’re here to find out, right? Okay, we realise that was a lot of questions, so we’ll stop that now, but when Visit Herts has all the answers, it’s hard to not get excited.

From family fun-filled activities to Herts’ amazing attractions, shall we get stuck into what’s open? Realising that’s another question, we’re going to be quiet now and get straight to it…

Hatfield House

A beautiful place to visit in summer, but did you know you can still visit Hatfield Park now? The Park and Woodland Walk will be open on selected days for February Half Term and you can always head to The Stable Yard where you’ll find a range of independent businesses. Whilst you’re there, pay a visit to The Coach House Kitchen for a delicious lunch, or even treat yourself to afternoon tea.

Henry Moore Studios & Gardens

A popular attraction here in Herts is the Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, and we know you just can’t wait for spring to arrive so you can explore the artist’s former home and witness the spectacular sculptures. The six studios showcase the process of Moore’s drawing, etching, carving and model making while the 70 acres of gardens is the place to see the world-famous work. So, be sure to keep this on your radar for when March arrives.

The Grove

With February half term coming up, we think you parents could use a little R&R and luckily for you, there’s plenty of things going on at The Grove for your little ones to enjoy. With their Anouska’s Kids Club open Monday-Friday during the school holidays and every Saturday all year round, they can enjoy a range of activities from arts and craft to interactive games as well as a secure, private garden and play park. Just an idea, but you could always treat yourself to a spa, it would be rude not to considering the little ones will be having all the fun…

Drift Limits

Whether you’re taking a summer outing with the family or looking for a fun activity to do with friends, over at Drift Limits you can experience the thrills and excitement of their experiences all year round! With a diverse range of motorsport experiences for you to choose from, like their Supercar Passenger Rides or F1000 Single seater Thrill Experience, the only question is, who will be the better driver?...

Knebworth House, Park & Gardens

Soon to welcome you all back for the 2024 season, Knebworth House will bring you plenty of wonderful days out with exciting events going on throughout the year, from The Great British Food Festival to DogFest (we know you dog parents are excited for this one!) Don’t forget their Adventure Playground makes for the perfect visit for those with little ones and the Dinosaur Trail is another popular visit, where 72 life-sized dinosaurs and pre-historic creatures can be found.

Hertfordshire Zoo

Hertfordshire Zoo have re-opened! The Park has been temporarily closed while important works and site development takes place but now, they’re back and ready to welcome you all! With animal experiences, feeds, talks & shows there’s just so much for everyone to enjoy. The little ones will be sure to love the Tumble Jungle, Play Area and the World of Dinosaurs of course. But hey, Hertfordshire Zoo isn’t just for the little kids, we know you big kids love a day out at the zoo too!
