These include noise-cancelling headphones, fidget tools and more to help guests feel comfortable during their visit. Need a breather? Head to one of the designated quiet zones, like the World of Birds picnic area, perfect for that peaceful break.

A scent-sational summer escape

If you’re looking for a relaxing day surrounded by nature, Hitchin Lavender is just the ticket! Stroll through rows of blooming purple and breathe in the calming scent of fresh lavender. This is a sensory delight for all visitors.

This peaceful farm is a great spot for SEND families, offering plenty of open space to move at your own pace. The gentle atmosphere, quiet corners and stunning views make it ideal for those who prefer a slower, low stimulation setting. There’s also a lovely café, a lavender-themed shops, and a sunflower field later in the summer, perfect for a calm wander or joyful photo moment.

Please note: While wheelchairs can access the main field, the garden is uneven and can be tricky, especially in wet weather. Wheelchair users can follow a track through the middle of the field, but the thick lavender rows aren’t accessible to wheelchairs. The sunflower area is also uphill and harder to reach.
