Our Big Wild Pyjama Party is back for 2025!
Join us for a party with a difference and experience the sights and sounds of nature as it settles down for the night. Don your favourite PJs, grab a teddy bear and a blanket, pop on your wellies and take part in a family-friendly evening in the great outdoors!
We'll start near the visitor centre and take part in evening pond dipping and minibeast hunting to see what small creatures lurk nearby as the sun fades. Bring a picnic of your favourite foods to fuel you, before we head out onto the reserve by torchlight and use our bat detectors to hunt the nocturnal wildlife of Rye Meads! There'll be time for hot chocolate and marshmallows, before sleepy heads can get back home to their nice comfy bed!
Rye Meads is a closed reserve after 5pm, so our Big Wild Pyjama Party is a great opportunity to spend time here when nobody else is around.
[Note participants will need to bring their own picnic, torches, blankets etc. Alcohol is not permitted on this event.]
Pyjamas and wellies optional but encouraged!
