Natural History Museum, Tring
Calling all culture vultures! You needn't head into London to experience some of the world's rarest species up close. Natural History Museum Tring is the little sister to it's capital counterpart, but the perfect place to learn about our natural world, and you can see over 4,000 different taxidermy animals, from kangaroos to polar bears. Entry is free - we're looking forward to Tring: Museum by Torchlight on 28th October for our own Night at The Museum experience!

St Albans Cathedral
If you’ve seen our Instagram recently, you’ll know we’re fond of showing off St Albans Cathedral's exterior, and it’s become one of the most recognisable images in Herts. Explore the English gothic interiors, medieval paintings, and discover the 1700 years of stories this magnificent building holds with to their expert guides. It's free to enter, and so are the daily tours with their experts guides.

St Albans Museum and Gallery
St Albans Museum and Gallery has tons of exciting exhibitions, from Museum Minis and Spooky St Albans for children, to explorations of Gods and Goddesses, the Iron Age and some of Hertfordshire-resident Henry Moore's beautiful sculptures. The museum is free to enter, as are many of their exhibitions.

Stevenage Museum
Dedicated to the history of the local area, Stevenage Museum puts on free lunchtime sessions to explore topics such as the impact of the war widows in Stevenage, the history of the Bowling Green and more. For little ones, spook-tacular Halloween crafts and plant drawing workshops (to be hung in the museum alongside work from Georgia O'Keeffe, no less!) come in at under a fiver for your activities.

Watford - Cassiobury Park
Throughout the summer, free events at the bandstand bring the community together with music from jazz, swing and brass bands all through the season. This shouldn't have to end now we're in the transitional seasons - jump on the mini railway trains or enjoy a wintery walk with a hot drink from their cafes.
