Halloween in Hertfordshire

Caitlin Minter
2nd October 2018

Gleaming pumpkins in windows, sugary tastes of sweets and chocolates, streets filled with trick or treaters young and old- when witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, ‘tis near Halloween!’

Halloween is the season of frights and scares, where the night takes on a more chilling atmosphere and where it is as much fun to scare as it is to be scared. With Horror Mazes and ghost tours there is so much going on this Halloween in Herts. So time to drag out your decorations from the loft, brush off the dust from your witch’s hat and prepare the sweets for the little monsters. It’s time to brave the night and discover Halloween in Hertfordshire.

A guide waiting, torch in hand, will lead you through the streets, heaped in history and where there is history there are ghosts. Listen to the stories of people from the past, from socialites to business owners who have many dark and creepy stories to tell. The next up and coming tours are on the 29th of October and the 5th of November. Let’s do the time warp again…
